Em 2014, iniciei uma investigação acerca das origens culturais brasileiras.

Posteriormente, em 2016, a realização de um mapeamento genético de ancestralidade global permitiu um estabelecimento de correlações entre minha herança biológica e a formação sociocultural do Brasil.

Utilizando meu DNA como instrumento de pesquisa e mapa ancestral, inseri-me em uma dinâmica autoetnográfica, atuando simultaneamente como sujeito e objeto de um processo contínuo de aprendizado.

Essa abordagem metodológica permitiu uma revisão crítica da história do colonialismo, buscando identificar as influências dos fluxos migratórios na estruturação e desestruturação de epistemologias. O foco recai não apenas sobre as matrizes ocidentais, mas sobretudo sobre os hibridismos culturais.
Após sucessivas viagens para África e esgotadas minhas possibilidades de pesquisa, voltei-me a outra bibliografia, que apontava para origens orientais e hibridações culturais pelo trânsito transnacional de portugueses pelas Carreiras da Índia e suas trocas e permanências na África e nas Américas. Tratava-se de bibliografias descartadas ou desconsideradas pela historiografia oficial. Desse desmembramento da investigação que surgiu "Indo-Brasilidade" e poteriormente o "Mito da Imigração".

In 2014, I initiated an investigation into Brazilian cultural origins.

Subsequently, in 2016, conducting a global ancestry genetic mapping allowed for the establishment of correlations between my biological heritage and the sociocultural formation of Brazil.

Using my DNA as a research instrument and ancestral map, I inserted myself into an autoethnographic dynamic, acting simultaneously as subject and object of a continuous learning process.

This methodological approach enabled a critical review of the history of colonialism, seeking to identify the influences of migratory flows on the structuring and destructuring of epistemologies. The focus lies not only on Western matrices but, above all, on cultural hybridisms.
After successive trips to Africa and having exhausted my research possibilities, I turned to another body of bibliography, which pointed to Eastern origins and cultural hybridizations produced by the transnational circulation of the Portuguese along the Carreira da Índia and by their exchanges and continuities in Africa and in the Americas. These were bibliographies that had been discarded or disregarded by official historiography. It was from this unfolding of the investigation that “Indo-Brasilidade” emerged, and later “The Myth of Immigration".
